Branch locator in the Santander Wallet app

Santander launched a credit card with nothing printed on it: no number, no name, no CVV. Because the card has no data, you need the Wallet app to use it online.

My work had two parts:

  1. Offering the card. The flows to offer it to a small group of good Santander customers, so they could request it and choose the branch where they wanted to pick it up, fast and easy.
  2. Using the card. The flows to activate it for online purchases, to block it, and to pay online with the app, since there’s nothing on the card to type in.

The pilot went really well. In a couple of weeks all the cards we had were gone, and that gave Santander the confidence that this was a product people wanted. They launched it nationwide.
